The Nature of Our Work and Our Approach
The goals for structural bodywork are to enhance the body’s health and function.
In these classes you will learn to more effectively address injuries and dysfunctions in an area by restoring underlying structure and appropriate movement.
Learn to visually assess the areas of focus and use this vision to develop treatment strategies to improve their ability to provide better stability, support, and action.
Covered will be instruction on centering, grounding, support and balance, along with hand strategies, communication with tissue and body mechanics.
Students will also learn how to include client participation by movement and positioning. This provides a third hand for the therapist and an opportunity for the client to enhance his participation and awareness in the healing process.
